Need help putting together first time build

CasuallyNaked

WHi guys! I need some help putting together my first gaming pc and need a little help. I've compiled a list but I'm not sure if these will all be compatible together or if this is a jumbled mess. I'm trying to keep things relatively around the $2000 cad mark before shipping and taxes. All suggestions would be appreciated as long as the price doesn't go beyond 3000 after everything!

there are some things such as the gpu and power supply which could not be in the build, but might be swapped out for a regular 1070 and a 750 watt psu that my friends willing to give me since he's upgrading.

I personally wouldn't go 8th gen at this point, at least new; 9th gen, 8th gen used, or Ryzen/wait for new Ryzen. I would just go with a normal 2TB hard drive, black isn't worth it. Also I doubt you need Win 10 pro.

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

Laptop | 2018 MBA 256/16GB | MX Master

I wouldnt suggest spending the extra money on 16 more gigabyte of ram unless what your doing with your rig REALLY needs it. Everything else is fine in my opinion. The reason why is because most modern AAA games only use about 6gb of ram and 16gb is more than enough for gaming/streaming so Its up to you, but besides that great build overall.

What happened to Corsairs power supply prices? I got the exact same series back in december but a 850w version and it was $99 bucks at memory express after mail in rebate

Keyword, "December..."

A lot of things were on sale at the end of last year when I built my computer as well.

I THOUGHT it wasn't a huge sale at the time, like I thought retail was a lot lower but obviously I was wrong, I thought it was only like 30 bucks off at the time but clearly I was incorrect
