dt990 pro and soundblaster g5 best eq, sample rate and bit depth

Hi,

 

I own the dt 990 pro and the soundblaster g5 and I am wondering how to optimize them for gaming and music. What is the best eq, sample rate and bit depth? And what settings should I use in windows?

Here is what I think I would do for gaming: first for eq, I would do -5db for 125hz band, and -5db for the 8khz band. Then In the speakers/headphones tab, I would select virtual 7.1 headphones. And then enable sbx surround. 

 

And then check to make sure windows is set up for 7.1 also.

*For OP and people who find this thread years later.

 

I would avoid virtual surround. Best to jest get Equalizer APO and use some of the EQ presets. I like the presets from oratory1990.

EQ APO is the best option for you personally. (Example of presets below.)
