Upgrade to 2070

Hi, should i upgrade to a 2070 from a 1060 3gb, i also have a i7 6700. I want to be able to game at 1080p@144hz and i dont mind putting settings down, where i live a 1080 costs more than a 2070 so i think its a good option. Is this a good upgrade?

That is a huge upgrade from only 3GB VRAM.  For example Quake Champions uses up 7.5GB of VRAM all setting ultra , all nvpanel setting set to On or maxed out...and I get 120fps avg locked,, little dips then goes backup.  CPU can possibly bottleneck since it is not overclocked,, but not a huge bottleneck nothing to stress about.  The 2070 can do easy 144fps @ 1080p but I cant promise you at 1440p will give you 144fps.  It is not possible maxed out everything !!!  Youll probably get 70 or 80fps and what not in QC

2060 is less than like 5-8% slower on actual game performance for 30% less, much better value. The 2070 isn't gonna do anything the 2060 can't do.

A Vega 56 isn't worth it, especially with the new Vega GPU coming out in less than 2 weeks. A 2060 is about equivalent to a 1070Ti in most games, in other games it can match a 1080. The 2060 could save you some money over the 2070, but if you can afford it (and want it) then just get the 2070

definitely go with 2070 as it will give a good performance boost for your gaming

Go 2060, Price per performance for the 2070 is just not worth it. If you wanna go higher then wait a month and get a 2080. 
2060 performces really well.

What i mean save up the additional 200 dollars it would cost to purchase a 2070

the 6gb won't be a problem unless you are playing 4k, and neither the 2060 or 2070 does 4k well.
