Please could you fill this form out

Luckierprawn

For my college work I have been told that I need to do some primary research on the future of AI in education and I was wondering if I can post a link to a form for people to fill out, all responses will remain anonymous and all the data collected is for college work only. I thought I'd ask before sending just to be sure.

Google forms have been allowed in the past to collect member feedback and such, I see no problem with this.

Is it about what do people think, or do we have to make the research for you?

It's just about what people think of AI being used in education so It's just peoples opinion

I filled it out but I think your questionnaire needs more, question 9 is to vague or limited with its choices (I answered yes). Getting better grades is not necessarily dependent on AI involvement, as learning style differs from person to person. I think grades would improve if we start challenging students again instead of the current methods we use (I live in the US) I suppose an AI can be used to analyze and determine individual students learning and devise methods that can improve that individuals education by applying the methods that individual can relate to better. So yes my answer could be yes but right now AI has not proven to meet such a level of ability... yet. A human teacher can do the same thing. I sound contradicting here but I am not. Adding AI would not necessarily be the "missing link" to better grades, that is my point. Also just to say, adequate school discipline plays a large part as well. (imo, schools have become to pussy-footed to press students to do better at least the idea of discipline has the wrong focus...better discussed in another conversation).

For question 9, some subjects are just remembering stuff, but for more practical and understanding, it is very hard to replace a teacher. An AI cannot understand how humans learn, as it is quite different from AI learning.

I hope I wasn´t too honest in question 6 "Because teachers are lazy. That is why they became it in the first place" ?

10.Do you think people would get better grades if they were taught by AI?

I think in the current state of AI it wouldn't be able to match the results of a human teacher and therefor yield lower average grades than a human teacher would. The AI would probably be a benefit to people who do a lot of self studying because they can interact with the AI anytime they like since an AI doesn't get tired and can handle hundreds of students at a time. On the other hand there are the people that learn most from lectures and work in class as they don't study too much at home whom will not use the advantage that they can always ask questions as much. Also an AI would eliminate the need to go to school at all which from just the experience of having the ability to watch recorded lectures at home isn't a great thing for the easily distracted minds people have these days...
