thin and light ish laptop for gaming and school

hi, i'm in university and I'm looking for a laptop to play games but also be carried with me everyday. no looking for the thinest and lightest but something averaging those

my budget is max 1300$

What games? Is the laptop crucial for school? Like are you in engineering or something where you'll be using heavy programs?

6-core i7 8750H, GTX 1050 Ti, 8GB RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD.

 

Decent performance and ok battery life, but thermal throttles a decent amount so undervolting might be nice.

That's just not true... even when not on sale a decent-config XPS 15 with the 1050 Ti is less than that

1300 us, 1800cad, homework and casual gmaing (r6/rocket league/etc) weight: dont know, at least 5 hour of battery time to last all class taking notes, at least 8gb of ram but if there is possibility to upgrade that be nice, display: 1080p dont care about srgb that much as long as it does not look absolutely trash
