How and should I update Asus Z370-P BIOS?

Hello!
I was wondering how to update the BIOS, now I know that You need to download it, I did, and put it on a empty flash,  but I have a question, do I put this http://prntscr.com/m8fszi or http://prntscr.com/m8ft2n one of those files, so help also, how to move on afterwards, and should I, and if I do update my BIOS will I have to reinstall my whole PC or anything?
Thanks

the bios should just need to be unzipped and nothing else, so you shouldn't need to do any of that

Updating the BIOS will reset all BIOS settings to the default so if you have any overclock settings and whatnot make sure to write those down. It will also clear out any saved profiles in BIOS but you won't need to reinstall Windows or anything like that. Just use the .CAP file and point to that in the BIOS for updating.

What? I'm here http://prntscr.com/m8fy1v

Put just the .CAP file on the flash drive, reboot and go into the BIOS, update and point to the .CAP file and it will update, might reboot a few times but that's it.

You should not (need to) update your BIOS at all unless there is something wrong with your setup that needs fixing and BIOS is the verified correct way.

Security fixes and stability improvements are definitely a reason to update.

If I remember right it's the Tool menu and then Update BIOS. It will popup a screen and just navigate to the USB drive and select the .CAP file and click update.

I ahve definitely not taken security, regarding the recent spectre+meltdown issues into account when making my statemnet. Thanks for the heads up!

With stability I can't see the point. Either it runs or not. Memory QVL could be expanded which would allow for more memory and such but that is a case with binary outcome: Runs or doesn't. What else is there to consider?

Yah, Spectre and Meltdown along with other small patches from time to time. I've seen mentions of "Stability improvements" with a few BIOS updates but no mention of what it actually improves, lol.
