CPU for Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw??

Hello!!

I know adobe software loves Intel more, but the difference between a Ryzen 7 1700 and a Intel i7 6700k is around 125€.

So I wanna know if it's worth the money for the Intel or "not even closeu"

The purpose for the PC is just for professional work

Even for a 6700k, it's not that close. The 1700 is really far behind. Since this is strictly for professional use, you're going to save enough time to recover the difference within a couple of weeks.

Puget tests at stock, so you can extrapolate the performance of an overclocked 1700 and 6700k and get pretty close to the results above.

Browsing through their data, its ver hard to come to the conclusion that you did.

The performance differences in single threaded tasks do not warrant the price increase imo. You could use the extra money to get a more powerful AMD CPU or a better GPU.

10-15% in enterprise/professional workloads is a huge margin. We're not talking about a few extra FPS in games. If we are conservative and assume that the extra 10-15% allows you to bill 5% more hours, then the difference in the cost will be recouped very quickly.

For general computing, the Ryzen is a better value, but this is not the intended use case here.

General rule of thumb for making $$$ that I use - buy the best base model if its about costs.  If you are making money with it, than it should make sense to get your best ROI, not just your least investment.

I agree.  It also seems too many folks don't account for the value of their own time professionally when evaluating a purchase.

I agree, but it's for my uncle and he say he wants a "budget" choice, under 800€

How much is gonna affect a GPU on this workstation? Prob the choice should be nVidia and for the money I was thinking on a GTX 1060
