Looking for a monitor

EG!

So the specs of my PC are in my bio, but for those too lazy to look at it it's a GTX1070 and an i5 6600k, the rest doesn't really matter.

I mostly play games like Shadow of war, Ac: Odyssey, LoL, Terraria, ..

Now and then I watch Netflix and Youtube, but since I bought an LG C8 I'd be stupid to watch anything on a not OLED screen.

So I started looking at monitors and refreshrate seems to be more important than resolution so I thought I'd replace one of my 2 1080p 60hz monitors by a 1080p 144hz panel but since I have an nvidea monitor that was too pricy then I'd rather go for 1440p 60hz I think. But by tomorrow this monitor AOC G2590FX will be nvidia certified freesync.

So would that be better than a 1440p 60hz monitor without it?

And can my system (CPU mostly) handle this?

What happens if my frames drop under the freesync range?

It's one of those monitors on nvidia's list for Gsync-certification but I wonder what happends in games like Ac:Odyssey where I will not always meet the minimum freesync requirements.
