You'll probably be fine. Worst case (hah) scenario you mod the case a tad.

If you want the build to be fairly painless, then try a different case. Also try a different PSU since the EVGA one probably isn't the best pick. It's $20 more but I personally think it's worth it.

Oh yeah you should be getting faster RAM if you can afford it. If it's you paying for this, I totally understand what position you're in for money.

Grey label corsair power supplies are meh, I would swap it for a seasonic fully modular PSU. Other than that, @mxk.'s iteration of your build is perfect.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

He's on a very tight budget. A fully modular seasonic PSU isn't a choice, unless black friday comes early.

My memory failed me, the PSU I was thinking about is roughly $20 more. But, if the OP has the patience/ability to save up $20 I would highly, highly recommend it.I have one in my current built, it was a godsend to build with. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095

Oh noooo don't buy that PSU. I have that one, and it's working, yes, but it's internal design is poor and SeaSonic really shouldn't be selling it. It's ranked really pretty bad on the PSU tier list.

So just stick with the one I picked out?

nothing will be maxed out, I will be playing minecraft, TF2, and CSGO (plus other very easy to run games that my laptop can run from itch.io) on medium settings capped at 60fps while recording and sometimes streaming to twitch at 720p (900 if I can)

the most intense thing I will be doing is game development, but I am used to doing that on a crappy laptop (in my signature) so anything is a step up from that

People say that about the Seasonic M12II PSU's because the design hasn't been updated since ~2012 (if memory serves me right). It is not a bad PSU by design, and is of equal or better quality to a Corsair grey-label PSU. Theyre both budget, and are priced accordingly.

I never said it was the best, or perfect. But it's a very good deal for the price.

It's about the internal design of the PSU in this case. You want good quality, even if you're on a budget, like you are.

Also don't cap your stuff at 60fps it can do those games past 60 pretty easily.

The higher ranked m12ii models have higher wattage. The one you recommended that we both have is ranked pretty poorly. This list is a great point of reference and it exists for people who don't really know that much about the internal designs of PSU's.

I wanna do 60fps because I only have a 60hz monitor, and I wanna be able to stream (at least) medium settings while keeping my usage and temps down

Thats fair, but I have seen far more corsair PSU's fail in spectacular fashion than SeaSonic in both my personal life, that of my clients, and that of the internet.

In the end, its up to the OP. Was voicing my opinion

You shouldn't be capping it still, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to go over 60 even while streaming at 720p. The only real way to know is trying it, though.
