Hello people of the forum!

i've been running my build in the InWin 301 for a good while now, and i absolutely love it. it is by far the smallest mATX case i've ever used, and it fit my watercooled X399 build perfectly.

the only thing that this case does poorly is airflow tough, and with the closed off front i see pretty high temps on my system.

so i'm really looking for a InWin 301 i guess, tough with a mesh front. if a case like this doesn;t exist i guess i could always just cut a big hole in my existing case and put some mesh over it, tough i would prefer a store bought option since i know it'll look much better than anything i can do myself. ?

so, does anyone have any suggestions?

current build:

If you like that particular layout and design, you should just mod.

Current build looks nice. I feel bad for the frond AIO, it's pulling air through a 90 degree turn. RIP

Yeah that's the only problem with this case. Dimensions are perfect, hardware options are perfect, and I love the looks of it. It's just that the airflow is terrible :/

Yeah I was thinking I should, tough modding the front panel would mean putting a hold right through the clean looking front panel. If I mess that up, I might aswell just get a new case.

Not to mention I would have to go out and get a Dremel or something.

Print out a stencil for small hole placement and just use a drill press if u have access to one.

Alternativly, print out a stencil for a series of 'lines' cut into the front like a grill, either verticaly, horizontaly, or diagonaly.

Plenty of very simple designs you can do with basic tools that look better than just a big hole.

I work as a service mechanic for welding robots and machines, so I have access to pretty much every tool I could ever need at work. That being said tough, making a hole is easy. Big or small. It's making a tidy hole that's difficult. :P

The only case that really beats the 301 in size is the Sliger Cerberus. The layout is slightly different though especially for an ATX psu (not to mention very expensive) Even the ATX version takes up less space but unless you switch to SFF PSU it might be impossible to get it all to fit.

Size wise the Meshify C Mini is (only) 5L larger in volume, but that was probably already on your radar.

@stealth80 also put a front intake fan in his In Win 303 (although the layout in that case is drastically different)

He's been logged off for a few months however
