Asus Zenbook UX430UA - Questions

I got this laptop recently, but I don't know if it's worth it. The fan is loud sometimes and it gets hot easily. I'm planning on using this laptop for college, my program (Computer technology program) will need a laptop. I don't know if this is a good one for it. The laptop has: Intel Core i5-8250U / 256GB SSD / 8GB RAM / Windows 10

Location? Budget? Any preference on weight, battery life, display size and display quality?

By the way, I bought my laptop from best buy so I prefer it's from there Link for all the specs of this laptop

Location: Ontario Canada
Budget: CAD $1000 

Preference

  • Weight: Light, easy to carry around
  • Battery life: Long enough
  • Display Size: like 14" inch
  • Display Quality: not sure
