Need help with mobo. also opinions on whether its a good build.

1. BUDGET:

-- I currently live in the US and my budget is from $900 dollars.

-- This budget is subject to change if I were to get huge performance for a little bit more money.

2.AIM:

-- My aim for this computer is for it to be my personal computer where i will write programs, work on hw, browse the web etc.

-- but I will also use it for gaming such as league of legends, skyrim, bf4, tf2,l4d2.

-- I also plan on trying to OC to 4.0Ghz if mobo and cooler can handle if not its ok.

3.MONITORS:

-- I plan on running one monitor at first at 1080p.

-- Maybe expand to two in the future.

4.PERIPHERALS:

-- I already have gaming mice and keyboard but I do need to buy a monitor so it needs to be included in my budget.

-- I get windows 8.1 for free at my school so that doesn't need to be included in budget.

5.WHY ARE YOU UPGRADING?

-- I currently use a laptop with an i7 2670qm and hd 6770m gpu.

-- Cannot play games at levels above low because the heat generated from my cpu and gpu raises cpu temps to 95 C.

-- Also my laptop screen sucks at 1366X768

PROPOSED BUILD:

-- fx 8320

-- hyper 212 evo

-- r9 270x. hopefully i can get a deal on an asus or gigabyte for 220 or 230.

-- Kingston HyperX Blu 8 gb(2 x 4gb) ddr3 1600

-- corsair builder series cx 600 W

-- WD Blue 500gb 7200 rpm

-- cooler master n600.

-- looking for some suggestions on a decent mobo at a good price.

There is practically no price difference between the WD Blue 500gb and 1tb on Amazon(US) so you'd be crazy to not take advantage of that.  As for the mobo I haven't done much research on AMD boards so perhaps someone else can give you a good suggestion,

@smalldingaling

Almost any 970 and 990FX board can handle a 4 Ghz overclock, what is your budget for the motherboard alone? The rest of your build save for the hard drive seems fine.

also is the monitor included in this budget?

I second this, it may be a little more than your budget. But in the long run this will kickass!

budget for mobo is probly $100. This is a biggest bang for the buck. I was going to go fx 6300 but 8320 is 8 core and new consoles have 8 cores so future games will run better on more cores right? It needs to be I don't have a monitor.

The board will be fine. If you want, spend the money saved on the ODD to get a 990X board.

do this.

you really don't need ODD. Borrow one if you absolutely need one to install Windows. It's a useless part.

They normally have better VRM (power delivery systems) and quality.
