is this normal i7 8750h temp?

Recently bought a msi gp63 laptop, while gaming cpu can reach up to 97c with max fans and bounce around high 80c and low 90c. Is anyone else getting those temp on laptops with 8750h(doesnt have to be msi)?

Will it effect longevity of the cpu if i game everyday with this temp?

There are no "normal" temperatures when it comes to mobile chips, because each thermal solution is different. With that said, most (if not all) performance laptop CPU will hit or get very close to TJmax at full load.

 

I'm sure that the thermal solutions are designed to be just barely good enough. Otherwise, you'd be carrying around a 10lb laptop.
