Dying SSD (100% usage) without signs in SMART

Zyrlax

My ssd Samsung Evo 840 250GB is digging its grave. SMART looks alright to me.
I tried plugging it as slave into a diffrent machine and it's having trouble with any IO.

Formating and filling the drive with 0's does the trick for a maximum of 4 days - no issues whatsover and when the time comes it drops like a rock.

I've also seen improvent when using Samsung's dedicated software - Magician with the TRIM in advanced mode - it did make the drive go to its former glory... for about 2 days?

The drive only has 27TB written and roughly 15K  power-on hours. Could there be anything else i could try?

Are you within the warranty period? Looks like you're doing everything right.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Could be the controller and not the "drive" itself that's failing, that's why smart reports good.

Regardless, non-stable storage is bad storage. Throw away and buy new. (Maybe send samsung an e-mail and maybe they'll give you a discount or something.)

Did you wipe all the partitions on it with windows disk management and make a new one?

Update.
After 3 days it booted without any problems. I noticed the [EB] POR Recovery Count raised by nearly 2k.
