Best method for comparing performance of older graphics cards to newer ones?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I am doing a project comparing older GPUs to modern ones performance wise and I need software that can show me the performance gap on an even playing ground. The cards in question are the Nvidia RivaTNT2, Nvidia GTX 280, and a Nvidia GTX 1080. They are all being run on their own testbench.

UNIGINE Benchmarks - Heaven or Valley , UL Benchmarks - 3DMark and of course games :)

To be an expert is to know more about less.
