Help choosing a cpu for a 1070

Hi. I'm planning to do my first proper tower build and was planning on buying a used 1070 on eBay since they're so cheap atm. Therefore I was wondering what cpu would be a good choice to go with, this build will be purely for gaming so workstation performance isn't required.

Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel i5 9600k.

If you're purely gaming than intel puts out more frames than AMD with the same graphics card.  I recommend a core i7 7700k or 8700k paired with a Z370 motherboard in the $115 range.  pcpartpicker will be your friend.

r5 2600 and up the list for cpus in ryzen.

 

as for intel, core i5-8400 and up.
