Ryzen 2600 and 1070 good combo?

Auraa

So currently I have a ryzen 3 1300x and a 1070 (yes I know worst combo ever) but I'm looking to upgrade so right now my budget for a new cpu is around $200 and I either want the 1700x or the 2600 I game competitively on Rainbow Six Siege (currently diamond) with a 144hz monitor so I need to be able to reach those frames on low 1080p and I edit and do photoshop from time to time and I really want to stream so which one can suit my needs for at least the next 2 years

Trust me, you could do much worse than 1300X and 1070.

I would suggest to keep saving, wait and see what Zen 2 brings to the table

The Ryzen 5 2600 will be a great cpu for years to come. I keep mine overclocked to 4.0 all the time and temps never exceed 53 degrees C (on liquid cooling). I would go with a 2600 over the 1700x, but im no streamer.

Intel Core i7 9700F / Cooler Master 212 Evo / GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER / 16 GB G.SKILL RAM @ 2666MHz / GA-B365M-DS3H / EVGA 500w PSU

HP Pavilion Gaming 15 / Ryzen 5 4600H / GeForce GTX 1050 / 8 GB @ 3200MHz
