ryzen 2600x and 2700 rtx

hey was wondering if a 2070 RTX would run ok with my current CPU which is ryzen 2600x currently have a 1050ti 4gb with it but want a big boost in performance. want to know if this is a good move and if there are any problems.

please recommend other GPU that would be good with my cpu

Yeah that's a good upgrade. Better value is the 1080, same performance for less money, but if you like ray tracing then why not get rtx.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

ok thank you i have been told that my cpu will be bottle necked as it is currently underpreforming as my board requires a 8pin for the motherboard but only have a 4 pin and currently my 1050ti doesnt need a 6 or 8 pin just get power from mother board so overall system is under prefoming thinking of getting a molex addapter for about $4 before i get enough for a new PSU and GPU

in honesty id go with fasauceome's advice. 1080's are dropping in price, and the performance is the same as a 2080 ( not the 2070 ) the RTX is not .. well that great, have a look on youtube of a few vids about of people testing the 2080ti's with RTX on and there frame rates are god awful!

people say drop your settings but who's paying £700/£1500 for a GPU to drop your settings to medium! or lower.  BF V goes from around 80-120 FPS to around 30FPS with RTX on.

my personal option is pick up a 1080 and wait it out until they get the kinks out of RTX which in my option will just be an average feature in the future , just like 3D is a option on TV's now but no body cares :D

or go with the 2080 (not the 2070 seriously not worth its buck ) just don't use RTX until they, as said work the kinks out.

Thank you for your advice just don’t want to bottle neck my 2600x with a 1080 or 1080ti as I don’t know if it will or not

You can't say bottleneck generally. Whoever told you that has no idea what bottleneck means. It's something very specific for something very specific also. So there might be an workflow where your 2600x might bottleneck your 1050ti or another workflow where a TItan V will bottleneck your 2600x.
To answer your very first question  any high-end/enthusiast GPU(also future gpus of that kind) will pair nice with your 2600x.
