does anyone know how to turn off the auto gain control for the pixel 3

what gain? screen brightness?

im using pixel on P and havent notice anything called gain control.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!

well im trying to use the rode video micro compact for my phone and i need to fix it

i dont think you can plug in 3.5mm microphone into pixel 3, or in fact any smartphone. unless you have a dedicated usb type-c sound card, in that case thats out of my knowledge.

 

but cameras with mic in have both gain and attenuation control. gain amplify the input while attenuation cuts low frequency like wind noise.
