Stretched screen

Charlifr

I have the HP w2207h monitor, 10 years old. it has a 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz display, but when I run games on it the screen seems to be stretched horizontally, is there anyway I can kill the pixels or just stop the stretching. Thanks.

normally I'd expect stretching to happen when you set it to a resolution that's a different aspect ratio than your screen (Think 4:3 when you have a 16:10). You could try fiddling with the resolution setting of the game. Otherwise you might be able to enable scaling on either your screen or through your gpu that will give you black bars on either side instead of stretching

What is the Aspect ratio in-game ? Make sure it's set on AUTO, you can apply it in your GPU drivers too

Thanks guys, I'll try this out once I finish my build, I realised it because i was playing on Xbox and couldnt change the res. Additionally, I meant the screen was stretched vertically, not horizontally
