I don't have experience with MiUI, but the entire Xiaomi brand has a decently large Android modding scene behind it so you can probably find, say, a LineageOS ROM for it pretty easily.

Quote me to see my reply!

Why are you concerned about it?

I use it for years now and I'm satisfied. It's just like any other custom rom like the samsung version of android.

Thanks for the clarification. my experience with asus ROM are terrible, not only it drains battery the updates are slow and introduce more problem than feature. same goes for LG, V20 w/ SD820 feels 'laggy' when opening apps and battery also terrible

Well, yes, it can, but trust me when I say that it's super easy and there are thousands of guides online on how to do it.

I have only good experience with Mi5s plus, Mi6 and Mi8.

1-2 days battery and if you don't play/"social" media even 5-7 days.
