help me improve my Bitfenix Prodigy temps

stock clocks, full load under LinX my cpu (i5 3570k) is about 67c. Seems kinda bad even if the prodigy isn't a super big case

aftermarket cooler: Dark Rock 2
Rear Exhaust fan: Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm Case fan
Front intake fan: BitFenix Spectre All Black 230mm Case Fan

I tried removing the front panel but it didn't do anything, my graphics card is a small HD7850. I think I did the thermal paste poorly (any tips on this?)

are these temps the norm for this? Do you think I'd be able to get a small/decent OC with it?

Temps are fine , you can OC till it hits 80 degrees. Actually the smaller the case , the higher the temps.

try undervolting a bit

what cpu do you have?

Get a better cooler if you want better temps.

Using the quiet cooler isn't helping it =/

 

You're looking at over a 10 degree change in just switching to a better cooler.

maybe its just a hot chip. unfortunately every cpu is different in some way or another. try buying an all in one water cooling unit if you have the money.

You could add 1-2 intakes either on top or change rear to intake and keep passive exhaust or exhaust from top. Better case cooling results ~5C lower temps.

Entirely different architecture. The OP's i5 can run at substantially higher temperatures. 

 

67C under load seems OK.

What i'm getting at is that you need context on what and how you are cooling. what is your OC and volts, whats the room temp? if there is no context, its a moot point.

 

My fx 9590 at stock stays under 50c at 20c room temp, cooled by a custom loop.

67c is quite cold under load. you should overclock it so that its nearer 80c

room is 18.3333c. 1.415v................. 4.8ghz
