Which laptop should be bought?

My friend has started B.Sc in IT since today and he needs to buy a laptop for studies. Can anyone please suggest one? 

He is not a tech geek and he is just starting off and needs the laptop for college purposes only.. 

 

His budget is around 60-70k INR

IT students don't need a fancy laptops.

Anything that can edit text would do LOL.

I would suggest a laptop with ryzen 2200U should be enough. It can be had less than 600usd.

But if you want to maximize the budget my suggestion get a macbook or a laptop with gtx 1050 or MX150 gpu.

A mac is more versatile for programmers, as it can do both Apple and Windows apps.
