"mid-range"(entry-level) headphones?

Go to solution Solved by nicobombai,

IDK how much these costs there, but usually the first option which is always thrown out by me and others here is SHP9500+vmoda boompro.

Or you can go like HD558/559 + modmic/massdrop minimic (idk whether this will be in your budget or not). Closed back option can be something like M40x + modmic/massdrop minimic/lavalier mic

My old Headphone (Razer Kraken Pro 2015) needs replacement. So I am searching for a new headset. Some suggested buying a separate microphone so headphones are ok too.

What are your recommendations for Headsets/Headphones+Mic that are en-par with my old one at a price of about 50-80€

And please don't kill me if I say that looks matter. (RGB-Leds or flimsy controls are a no-go anyhow).

But I would call all these entry level headphones, not mid range. Mid range to me is $300-$800

Well I am not really familiar with audio gear pricing. Entry level is below 50 for me. But it all depends on perspective.

I own the HD 558's and ATH-M40X both used with the Massdrop mini mic.

IMO  If you are to have only ONE set of headphones go with the ATH M40X they are much more versatile and work better with a broad range of music/games etc.  One note is that you have to buy the Brainwaves HM5 ANGLED ear pads (link below) which will completely transform the comfort and sound of the M40x a must do upgrade.

Buy these two things and you will not be disappointed.

Cheers.
