Take off laptop screen?

Is it possible to take off my laptop screen and only use a TV for it? So i have exatly only a TV and a keyboard.

(I’am going to use SteamOS)

You can always display output only through a TV even without taking the screen apart, provided you have video output connectors in the laptop.
