Just now I noticed how

the graphics are on

the graphics are off and the screen is not transparant but clouded white for a few moments

then the screen is transparent

I did find Planar as reviews

but that website is interesting as fuck

It's not a screen but smart glass is what it's called in the industry. As said if you look closely they are using a rear projection projector on the smart glass when in it's frosted/dffused mode.

Bill Nye has a Netflix show Bill Nye Saves The World

and he has a wall that comes down in front of his lab

that wall has a transparent lcd that when off you can see clearly through

with a slight shade darker but not much

looks like glass really

I am guessing the transparent lcd is like 6' high by 4' wide

here is a good view of it

and I would love to know who makes it, probably far too expensive, but it is cool

all the hits I am getting are Samsung with their 55" like here

https://www.oled-info.com/samsung-display-unveils-55-transparent-and-mirror-oleds

Nye's look much larger.

You could just peel the screen part of a monitor, and diy it.

Here is a example. The display part of a monitor is transparent.

could

So you think its a custom job.

They are very huge panels.

I think it would be great in my dream home, have the screens as deck railing windows.

Same size as Nyes but sideways.

It is not easy, but it is do able. It is just a very delicate process, that takes time, but im sure there is a tutorial up in the internet.

Interesting how the projector is behind the glass in his lab, I dig it. Makes sense now. TY
