Its bad because its expensive. At least here you can get Scythe Fuma/Mugen 5 or Thermalright Macho for 20€ less. The worst part is that it beats Silentiumpc fortis 3 by only 3C with 8700K 1,3V @ 4800GHZ. Fortis 3 costs 35€:s.

Could someone tell which air cooling (i would prefer not to go with liqued) up to 50 euros? Its ok if i need to go up with money, if its worth it. I have ryzen 2600. Main task for for cpu fan is to be silent while on heavy load, and of course to provide me some overclocking possibilities while still being silent.

any direct comparison of Alpenföhn Brocken ECO and DeepCool Gammaxx 400? they'd cost me the same, and I really can't decide. Though my initial choice would be the Brocken.

It's about $15 more where I'm at, not sure what his market is like. The Mugen 5 rev b does more than good enough for the money, the scythe only being 3-4C better in the few tests I seen.

 

The Mugen 5 doesn't have any ram clearance issues either since it's offset, the ninja 5 covers the ram slots so clearance will be an issue for bigger sticks.

And me, "that guy" again, inquiring about a few ID cooling units.

 

ID Cooling SE213V2, which costs around ~17EUR

 

ID Cooling SE214X roughly 20 EUR

 

ID Cooling SE204K approx 39 EUR.

 

Which would you recommend for OC-ing both the IGP and the CPU of a Ryzen 2400G (or later Ryzen3...G unit)? Best price to performance ratio? Is it possible, that ID cooling manufactures coolers for Alpenföhn? How would these units compare to Alpenföhn Ben Nevis& Brocken ECO or Matterhorn Pure? Anything negative about SilentiumPC Fera3 (which is also around 25euros, and looks decent, as well as priceconscious)

 

Sorry for the questions, I'm just seeking advice what to recommend for fellow membres on native forums&groups.

The SE-214X would be the best value. The SE-204K is a bit better but not worth double the price. It might be a better option if it was closer to €25-30.

The Fera 3 is an alright alternative if you want something quieter.

 

I'm not sure about the manufacturer history but Alpenfohn's website states that the brand was created by the german manufacturer EKL AG whereas ID-Cooling lists Shenzhen Wanjinghua Technology.

Yes, the SE-214X is a better value than the SE-213.

I'm wondering, is there any reason that CM Wraithripper is not listed on the tier list nor on the queue list?

Is it just simply because a dedicated threadripper coolers should have their own class? Or simply because there are not so many resources out there as references?

It's both. TR coolers need their own list and there haven't been many reviews available. I'm currently working on a separate list.

The newer HMPS II mounting hardware on the Fuma Rev. B doesn't allow for as much overtightening as the older HMPS on the original Fuma.

Probably not. The original Fuma could be overtightened so much that it potentially damaged some cpus.
