I havent tried it but all i can say is that they are just too expensive for the performance u get.

Buy them only if u really need the portability.

totally overrated, literally just a windows phone with a keyboard. The only thing you'll be able to run are 2d games.

  • 4 months later...

I have had the gpd win 2 for 4 days. Been playing saints row iv, wow and fortnite for a bit. They run anywhere from 30 to 60 fps. The little thingy has decent power, just dont expect to run newer AAA games like Far Cry 5 without any tweaking and at 720p. I might install gta v on it and give it a go later

Anytime a company uses the words "Atom" and "gaming" when speaking about the same device, I immediately write them off as either dishonest or morons.

As a WIN1 owner, I can say that while a good idea, the 1st gen device is completely unusable to me. The 5.5" screen is just too small for anything windows-related, and eye-fatigue sets in rather fast for me (in like 15mins).

I doubt the 6" screen of the WIN2 is any better in that regard, and at that price range I think people are better off buying a 7Y30 tablet/convertible to play games on.

Even better get a second-hand haswell laptop for the money. You might think that kind of defeats the purpose of the "handheld" gaming, but as I said the tiny screen is just to small to comfortably game on for a longer period.
