I don't know what i should go for my new rig before the launch of Volta GPUs

im going to be doing high refresh rate 1080p to 1440p gaming at Very High or Ultra settings

Asus ROG 1070 Strix OC price: $699 AUD

Asus ROG 1070ti Strix OC price: $799 AUD

Asus ROG 1080 Strix OC price: $899 AUD

After volta launches i plan to get a flagship card but i would like something better to use than my current 1050ti

May thanks.

Honestly, it is impossible to tell when volta will launch. Vega flopped and Nvidia really have no competition. It really depends on how impatient you are. If you are likely to get a new card in the near future, I would not waste money on an expensive ASUS one. They usually have better longevity, except it sounds like that would not really be needed.

I would go for the 1070ti save 100 bucks and overclock it the differens between 1080and 1070 ti would be close to non in gaming.
