New Graphicscard

I was thing of upgrading my graphicscard from R9 390

 

But at the moment here in denmark Vega 56 / 64 cost a lot of money, and most out of stock.

all my monitor's are with freesync and i am running 2 1080p and 1 4k

 

I would just like to hear..

Would you wait for the price to come down or go for Nvidia GTX 1070ti or GTX 1080

1070ti, because it has 95% of the performance of a 1080 with 88% the price.

I get the 1080. I don’t buy mid tier gpu’s unless it’s for testing.

Also how about buying from next door?

Cheapest reasonable 1070Ti (3590kr after conversion)

Cheapest reasonable 1080 (3962kr after conversion)

 

I'm not European, not sure if importing would add significant cost

Get what you need when you need (and if you need) no one can predict price drops

I do game on the 4K and it has freesync..

When importing to denmark.. Sometimes you can be lucky that there is no import tax.. But most of the time you get import tax and that can cost 1000-1500 DKr.

I would get the 1070 Ti because it is almost identical to the 1080, like ever just few 2~4 frames behind it only after both are fully overclocked... meaning you get pretty much identical performance for cheaper pricing.

 

 

It makes no sense to buy non-Ti models when those are out, they will always offer better value... if you're not satisfied with the capacity of the 1070 Ti go for a 1080 Ti as the normal 1080 is at best just more expensive and features a memory(GDDR5X) you can't take advantage of in gaming anyways.
