Static Pressure fan under GPU. Bad or good?

Good day!

 

A friend of mine has a spare SP120 and willing to give it to me. I was planning to put it under the GPU blowing air in the same direction with the GPU fan.

 

Is it a bad or a good idea?

if you can mount it, it's not a bad thing.

 

i have an itx case with 3 intake fans, 2 of them basically blowing directly onto the GPU, it never has to turn it's own fans on since i've never seen it breach 60c

There will be no problem mounting it. I’ll buy one of this (see 1st attached pic) for $5.

Seems like it would help if you have stagnancy in that part of the case. Are your gpu temps high or are the fans too loud?

Take off the shroud and you'll probably see a nice drop in temps

With no bottom intake it will do mostly nothing

i don't think it'll really change the gpu temps at all

all it will really do is make the gpu fan redundant. you would probably be better off using it as an intake somewhere near the gpu.
