Folding with iGPU?

So I know there is a thread about this from a while back, but it didn't really answer my question.

 

In my laptop, I have a Core i5-2430M and a GeForce GT 540M. Can I use the integrated graphics on my laptop for folding since I never use them for anything? If so, how would I go about doing that?

I don't think so, I'm running two old laptops for folding and it will only run on the CPU.

You can't use your igpu but you can use the GT540M

you can put F@H on Medium use so it only starts folding when the system is in idle for at least 5mins or so.

I'm just getting back into Folding. How robust is the idle detection in the Windows and Linux clients? I would like to set up my machines to fold when idle but my previous experience is that the computers are never detected as being idle.
