xentropa

I currently have windows 8.1 installed on an ssd in a computer.  It has no drivers of any sort installed (just whatever default ones comes with windows 8.1).

Can i plug this into another computer?

Yes, now whether it'll boot depends on the new board, but you might get it into safe mode, and install compatible drivers from there

Win8 is not as solid as Win10 when it comes to hardware change. It might fail to boot.

Your Windows will deactivate. If you have a OEM license, then you cannot activate it back, as the license is locked to the original computer motherboard.
