Can you cool 2 wall mount pcs with one loop

Hey

my wife and I are looking at doing a wall mount pc build each. We are going to use the same components and looking to water cool the cpu and gpu on each.

 

Budget is an issue so I am looking at saving by not having to get 2 reservoirs and 2 pumps by hooking both pcs together for water cooling.

Is this a good idea or a bad idea.

Cpu  is going to be Ryan 5 1600x

Gpu is aorus sea hawk ek 1070 (has a water block pre-installed)

And if there is anything else you need to know let me know. Thanks

you should be fine to do this if you have the right amount of rads to cool it

you can do it, wether you should is another thing.......

 

if the system with the pump of the loop is off, and the other underload, then temps will shoot up due to no circulation.

 

also you might find issues getting preasure due to all of the rads and fins to be forced through, so you might end up with another pump to deal with it anyway.....

Sweet...2 360s is what I was thinking. Do you think I would need more then a basic pump. (Haven't chosen one yet)

you could put one pump after the first system to push the liquid in the second system if flow is an issue

true, but his premise of doing one big loop not two seperate was only having one pump and res to cut costs....

if you are getting a second pump that is most of the cost savings gone, and res isnt going to be too huge of an amount more to make seperate loops

plus you save on tubing as you can make smaller loops

yes i forgot about that when i posted it 

 

 

i think the idea is really cool but not really worth it on a budget because of all of the potential issues

If budget is an issue, you shouldn't do water cooling to begin with. Rads, fittings, and pumps are relatively expensive, it's a really cool idea though

you really need two pumps for something like that because the water flow might be weak.

You can get around that by having two pumps one for each system so if one isn't on the fluid just bypasses the pump that is off assuming it's all series together.

If its only two 360's you can do a single pump. Also you can have both mobos trigger the pump. This the pump will be on either way.

You could vertically stack 

Sys1

Sys2

Rads

Res

So the pump would simply pull from the res to the first and gravity would take care of the rest, not sure if this is possible, but might
