Windows key

IanTheAlien123

If the key is OEM, no. If the key is retail, you can use it on as many as you'd like, but only one can be active at a time while connected to the internet (authentication servers).

I spose if the computers never connect to the internet you could use the oem key several times as well.

That would be same as using it without any key. Windows needs to be activated to allow full features. Activation is done with internet, either automatically with servers or by phone. Both need to have it connected to internet for verification.

People say OEM key can only be used on one system, but I have seen people move it to other systems, so idk if there really is a difference anymore.

I dont remember where, but I think some one said that if you get an OEM copy from like Dell and HP then its locked. But if you buy one from let say Newegg then you might be able to transfer it. Who, knows. I think MS is just trying to get people to like Windows 10 and so they dont care.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

That was the case with Win7 and older OEMs. With Win8/.1 they were supposed to lock all OEMs to mobo, but it seems that nobody told Microsoft support that. Same with Win10.
