Case Fans (sp vs af)

xXCapAwesomeXx

Just Curious, do you guys think it would help if I swapped out my case fans from the corsair ml 120 sp fans to an af fan and in turn if that would help improve airflow through the case. (I would keep sp fans on my rad of course)

Thanks in advance!

From what I've been reading for the last 2 weeks since I wanted to upgrade my case fans though I doubt it will be a huge difference, the SP is better even for case, depending ofc where you put it. If you use it as intake and it's in front of a grill https://1.grgs.ro/images/products/1/1358815/1425006/normal/lux-black-9783b2f284fffdeec22cc5788fbebda8.jpg then the AF won't be able to push air like the SP does. But if you don't have a filter in front and clear behind the fan, the AF might better.

MSI Z270 SLI PLUS - 7600k 5.1GHz - Corsair LPX 3000MHz - G1 Gaming GTX1060 - Arctic LiquidFreezer 240 - Crucial m.2 275GB - WD 1TB - EVGA B3 750W - Segotep Lux - LG 34UC79 Curved - Redragon Yama - Redragon Hydra - Gigabyte WIFI

Sound is provided by a Pioneer Amp from the 70s - if it's not broken, don't fix it.

Difference would be minimal, and the ML fans are (apparently) quieter. The ones I have ordered are yet to arrive.

Sync RGB fans with motherboard RGB header.

SP fans are nice to have as intake to push air towards your hardware where as CFM fans are great for exhausting hot air.
And from ML users i have heard they are supposed to be very good on SP as well.

The Corsair MLs produce more static pressure at the same RPMs than the Corsair SP lineup do, so the Corsair MLs are the preferred, and objectively better, option.  They are also quieter, of better quality, and are overall much better value.

Across the entire range of RPMs, the Corsair MLs produce more static pressure than the Corsair SPs do (they are both optimised for static pressure but the ML fans have much better bearings).

Replacing the Corsair SPs with Corsair AFs would be pointless, but replacing with Corsair MLs would be a great upgrade, both in terms of acoustics and performance at slightly reduced RPMs.
