Very low fps on gta v

Ok so my friend upgraded his gpu from 960 to 1060 and tried to play GTA V with us and has like 10-20 fps on low settings (sometimes like 2 or 3 fps).

And his CPU is i5 4460.

Any ideas how to get fps higher.

Setting -> Graphics -> Top options Video Memory, is it over the max the card has?

Nope it says 1gb used from 6gb

yeah advising blind is hard lol

 

try turning down anisotropic filtering MSAA and draw distance oh and SHADOW Quality and render distance

if frame scaling is on, turn that off imediately

put it on dx11, otherwise i dont know how the frame rate is so low. what programs does he have open, maybe post a screenshot with gta open and task manager
