Intel CPU Paired With AMD GPU

Aidan Hartline

So I currently have a I3-6100 paired with MSI 250 2gb OC. And I have heard some rumors on some Steam forums about how in some games like War Thunder, it can drop frames a little. So I just wanted to ask a Reliable community on if It doesent matter what brand CPU is Paired with whatever brand GPU. Originally I was Planning on getting a Gigabyte GTX 1050ti. But there are some other AMD Cards that are competivily Priced. So do you have any recommendations on some good GPUs, or should I stick with upgrading to GTX 1050ti.

It doesn't matter. 1050 ti is fine. A 470/570 for the same price would be better performance.

brand doesn't matter at all.....the GPU works separate from the CPU

1050ti is pretty much the best option until mining prices die down on AMD

find a used 1050ti for under or around the price of a 1050 or a used 970 for that price, frames shouldnt drop just because its and intel cpu

used 970 at a good price would beat out a 1050ti with a modest overclock right?

prices are dying down ive seen a 980ti for around 290$ which is a steal considering a ~200-250 can hit 980 not even ti performance

If you can, the R9 Fury is a monster for the price if you can get it under 300, Both the 970 and 980 get eaten alive by it, but they are not easy to come across cheap.

Intel + AMD is fine.
