Just wait a bit ... ETC and ZEC are slowly "dying".

Well I can't say slowly anymore, because in last 72 hours they came from 350+ to 180$. And difficultiy is crazy.

So expect market to be flooded with used RX 470,480,570,580 and GTX 1060,1070,1080,1080ti

Well I work for amazon and get a 10% employee discount.... pretty sweet but I really had my eye set on this

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-GDDR5X-Technology/dp/B06Y15DWXR/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1499849394&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=nvidia+gtx+1080ti+ftw3

but it's listed for $909.... last I looked it was $780.... $780 is Lot but with my 10% discount it's like an even $700....

but what could be causing amazon do fo this to me....I'm just a man.... I work hard for you please....

is it the cryptocurrency  miners.... have they scared amazon..

you can take away our 1060'S and 1070's,,... but you won't lay your hands on my 1080ti... it's not cool

i official declare war on crypto currency miners.... I want you to lose and feel the pain I will have to feel buying a gpu for $909 dollars.... ummm what the fuck it's ridiculous

all but these two

miners AVOIDED the shit out of them due to the bad performance to price ratio. lots of programs didn't like the vram and memcontroller compared to the lower end cards.

idk

You're not the only one complaining about miners, I wanted a RX 580 for a new PC build, but as it stands right now, it's not available anywhere except from resellers on ebay or some scumbag stores (like newegg) who sell it for like 3x the MSRP.

I don't think they're being scumbags, but rather annoyed that miners are buying out their stock.

But in exchange they screw over legitimate customers, so I do believe that yes, that's a scumbag move.

Well on caseking and mindfactory, prices went up for those 2 cards aswell.

Cheapest GTx 1070 was 370€ ... now it's 480€

GTX 1080 was 470€ before, now it's 590€

And 1080 ti was 670€, now 770€

But 1 week ago there wasn't any card in stock ... looking now on website, all of GTX 10xx cards are back in stock.

So I guess now we only need to wait for prices to drop back down where they were. Hopefully even lower. I would love to get 1080 ti for around 600€. Otherwise I might just wait till Volta.

Is it Newegg itself selling cards for far higher than their legitimate price or third party sellers on Newegg doing that?

If it's Newegg then yes they are a scumbag but if it's third party sellers then they not Newegg are the scumbags.

Though I'd say Newegg is partly to blame if they allow third party sellers to gouge buyers.

"Sold and Shipped by OneDealOutlet Canada" I don't know who OneDealOutlet Canada is, but they are on my "do not buy from these scumbags" list now.

Newegg themselves have better prices, like this card, at $417

https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137117&ignorebbr=1

But they still increased the price by nearly $100 compared to 2~3 months ago. (from $335)
