Which 450W PSU for ITX build...Corsair CXM or EVGA B3?

I need a basic PSU for my daughter's build.  Case will be a CM Elite 110, so space is tight and a modular PSU is needed.  450W & Bronze is fine for her needs.  These seem to be the best two at the lowest price point, both around $50.  Are they basically the same, or is one better than the other?

Just get the cheaper one, both are good PSUs

I would go for EVGA B3 personally for the full modularity and full Japanese caps

I've had this convo with the boys and full Japanese caps is really just marketing. Chinese caps (from good brands) are good, better than 10 years ago, and you only really need the caps to be good in a couple critical places like the primary big one etc.

 

But full modular on the B3 is a selling point. Also both have sleeve bearing fans so the B3's fan-off mode will make it last longer and that might be relevant 5 years from now.

Agree. Some model of Japan caps has bad quality. And they are essential in critical places like 12V rail and 5VSB. Am I right?

It mostly matters on the AC side and not on the DC rails

Based on what? AFAIK there are no reviews of the B3, just a general expectation that it's DC-DC and perhaps Leadex Silver-based.

Many others said the Corsair CXm and EVGA B3 so I'm going to as well.

I pulled the trigger on the B3 for no other reason other than it's newer.
