1080 ti Is a 1080 ti worth it without using 4k?

Hey guys, I wondering about upgrading my 1070 to a 1080 ti soon, but I'm wondering if it's worth it. I will not be running anything 4K, nor will I be playing any VR games, but I have 2 nice 1080p monitors that run at a low FPS when being used together, and hopefully that will be fixed. My main purpose in getting this 1080ti is to run games like GTA V and Arma 3 at high/ultra. Is it worth a 1080ti without using 4k? Thanks! (Edit: I would sell my 1070, so a 1080ti would cost about 400$)

You can already do that on a 1070, I see no reason for a 1080 Ti.

 

You'd benefit more from a high-end monitor first. Like a 1440p Gsync

I wouldn't suggest trading up from a X70 to a Ti unless the performance is there and worth the cost after selling.

I use two for 1440p 144Hz and it works awesome.  I also play at 4K too. I'd say just one 1080 Ti is enough for 1440p 144Hz.

 

For 1080p, a 1070 will suffice.
