Gtx 1080 or rx 460/1050ti

Buddelbox

So i was wondering, is it even worth it getting a GPU rnow? I can choose between the GTX 1080s or RX460s and 1050ti, apart from that the market is empty

Or a used 1070? I'm picking one up tonight for $300. Plus there's 980 Tis out there as well. And 980s, 970s, R9 290Xs, etc.

You could always check B-stock. Or buy used.

That's quite a gap in power there... I'd look into used hardware or wait for 1070s or 1060s to come back in stock.

Refurb models or ones damaged in manufacturing and such. They work fine, but they're scratched so they can't sell them at full price.

yah i was wondering why you were swapping from an I7 4790K to a worse CPU lol

anyway used GPUs is what id get here, or a 1060 6GB could be a good option

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
