DIY e-bike

ItsMinJunLol

Hi! I would like some tips on converting my bike to a e-bike. I have this tiny foldable bike that only has rear gear shift of 7 gears and has really small wheels and has a place for payload on the back. I'm planning to use that space for the battery and electronics, and I'm trying to follow this guide, but I need some help. What are the tips you can give for building my own e-bike? What do I need to keep in mind, and what are the dangers?

P. S. If required, I live in Korea.

Check laws if illegal

find motors that can handle like 350 pounds (sorry I'm in Chinese Canada and we use pounds, grams, c, and fluid ounces)

find some batteries (recommend going lead acid as if you fuck up lipo or lion you're dead)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

finding good motors might be the hardest part i guess.

... and mounting the motor ... you probably need to do some welding for the mounting pieces and find a way to integrate the motor into the drive chain ... you would need to run the chain over an additional sprocket and stuff

umm, I don't think 350 pounds are necessary. I think with all the stuff it won't weigh more than 100kg.

If you feel uneasy about going full diy on your bike you can get conversion kits that come with everything included and compatible with each other.

Can't emphasize this enough. Some areas require a moped license for e-bikes.
