Hi there,

 

Although I've never built a PC from scratch, I'm fairly confident I can, however, I would still like some advice from people who actually have.

As the title says I'm going to be using my PC for moderate gaming (I don't care if its too bad) and some design work as I am a student.

 

I have designed a PC here,

 

However, I have not included peripherals as I'm not sure what I can currently get. I'm only looking to spend about $825 - $900 on the PC. Please note that the prices on the website linked are inaccurate and I have found them cheaper on Amazon. (About $882.14)

Defo don't get an FX CPU. I know they're cheap, but they overheat and are seriously outdated.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Not really worth it, the 1600 is just fine and it will allow you to add an SSD and a better looking case to the build
