What would you recomend?

Hello

I want to build my first PC. I'm not that old so I want it as cheap is possible with a good upgradepath. Does anyone have tips or ideas? I am already happy if it boots and can run simple things.

Any help is welkome.

This is like asking someone to recommend you a burger and only knowing you like buns. We need a bit more info before people can throw together builds.

80$ for a gt 730!?! You could get a 1050 for the same price! And why are you reccomending a pentium on a older platform when a g4560 build is the same price (and can play 4k video on it's igpu) ? Woops, i didn't see lga 1151, only the ddr3, isn't ddr3 incompatible with skylake/kaby?

Ddr3 should work with skylake/kabylake given pcpp dosnt flag any issues with the cpu and ram a b250 mobo that supports kaby lake is about $20 more then a b150 the extra 200 mhz isn't worth $20 imo and the gtx 1050 might be a better choice didn't relize the gt 730 is still based on Fermi and not pascal yet. And a rx 560 would prob be a better choice then a gtx 1050.

The $20 just to use a 200 mhz faster cpu isn't worth it also could drop $60 for a 240gb ssd what might be worth it if you plan on not using the system for anything but Web browsing or something along them lines.

https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/135530-skylakes-ddr3-support it seems you're right, but prolonged use kills the chip because of higher voltages(and the lower speeds hurt performance). Most h110 mobos are updated by now and the ht from the g4560 makes it a much better cpu.

Ok. I'll go check out eu pcpp and see if I can get yout something around that. You thinking about spending money for a kinda deacnt cpu a mobo and ram now and use the igpu for a month or so and get a gpu later? Could probably get quite a bit better price per prefromance.

Your welcome. It's not the best cpu but it should get you by and can always upgrade to a locked i5 in a year or so if you need more power. Two cores really limit what you can do but pretty much all you can do on your bugget so just try not to have to many things running in the background as games tend to pin one core and ideal on anther/ hop around on one. As long as you keep back ground process to a minimum shouldn't have any problems tho.
