Its not like Apple has a choice. Dual cameras take up space and with the rumored Iris scanners Apple needs the extra space along the forehead of the device.

Um, what? Will iris scanner be on the front right? So why does apple need to change the back for that?

When your whole life is design, all other considerations are secondary to said design and anything that Tim Cook says needs to be changed get changed. These are things like grip, or durability unless Ive designed it like that on his own.

The galaxy s8 is two bits of glass that is held together by a metal frame. There are no phones that are single slabs of glass.

Yes I have. There is no room left on the chin of the iPhone for a new sensor like an Iris scanner when the iPhone has a dual camera setup that is horizontal.

Why would anyone want a phone that's 100% glass? having that aluminum bezel is what gives the S8 armour to fall (It's not much, but it's better than glass)

If there isn't much to changing internals to fit all the sensors in, then I'm sure Apple could do it right? red is rear camera, orange is where apple could put all those sensors

If you've ever watched a Galaxy S8 teardown, you can see that the iris scanner takes up minimal space.

Apple can fit it in there with a little bit of design change.
