I get around 800Mbps up and down, 4ms ping. My internet is around 30 USD a month

The Check is not valid enough, have problems to show the full Bandwith, cause the Speedtest Server is to slow. I Get 1 Gbit up and down. When testing it to my ISP I get the full Bandwith.

wireless on Xfinity, I pay for 75mbps, but its alright as long as my speeds don't dip below 10mbps......*COUGH* centurylink *COUGH*. On wired I get full speed but wireless is OK, its kind of low as I share with roommates and they love there streaming so it can stress my speeds.

If only I could get that here.  100 down / 6 up is the most I can get and it is at least $100/month

I've learned two things browsing this thread:

  1. Internet speeds/price are like real estate: location, location, location. 
  2. There are people with much better internet than me (not really a new lesson, more of a reinforcement - particularly my upload :()

The good news is FIOS just became available in my area recently, so at least I can improve my upload speed with their symmetric speed offering.

It goes up to 17MB/s from time to time, depends on the usage. It's a bonding contract, so it uses LTE to get more speed if the ADSL-Line is under maximum load. Back at my moms house I have 50MB/s VDSL + 50MB/s LTE. Next year we are going to get FTTH with 200/100.
