I don't really recommend using OEM case to do host a new computer, as they have usually unusual placement of components (some of it), and some have different sized motherboard.

You could always open the case and compare it with normal micro ATX board layout.

Case is not that expensive, since you are already buying high end such as that.

It is, like most others said, not always optimal to build in OEM cases.

Look up dimensions and mounting holes, if it fits- it fits.

But a new case is recommended.

Just buy ATX cases they are cheap.

Using oem cases can resulting in a lot of space issues or sometimes it just wont fit and it looks meh.

Cases like S340 Elite or P400s TG are awesome and affordable.

Swap out that i3 for either an i5 or a Pentium G4560. You'll either get more performance for a small bit of extra cash or you'll save a bunch of money and have the same performance (which I would spend on a good case)

That's an F in the profile pic

You can't put standard components in that Dell case. They used the BTX form factor, therefore making them useless with anything other than Dell BTX stuff. I have a lot of them.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2
