Ryzen 5 build vs i5 build (read the question thoroughly)

Purpose:

Gaming AND 3D work: New and most titles at HD or FULL HD @30fps (average) at medium to high settings. Not interested in 2k or 4k gaming.

I am not interested in ultra settings, more than 1 monitor setup, fancy LED backlights, aesthetics, overclocking.

BUDGET: Exceeding by ~$140.

It's not bad value but I would personally go Ryzen, not sure how it is priced there on India though.... a 1400 is a better pick than the i5 7500 personally saying.

That's more cheap but a b350 mobo is expensive as a Z270 mobo in india

I don't get this part. You mean the build or the CPU? It is priced around 15,500.

The build as a whole isn't bad... I just think that a ryzen 5 CPU would prove better since it has more threads which means it is more future proof... roughly speaking

How much would you rate this build on a scale of 1-10, 1 being crap.

xD just commented informative.  @Folktale consider nabbing a older gen i7, they go really cheap and will smoothly outperform a 7500

I give it a 5, it will play games fine, but not at the best quality, considering the tight budget is hard to change stuff... a SSD is always desirable for boot driver but not of extreme need... the monitor is no big deal... 21inch 1080p is meh... the sweetspot for 1080p is 24inch... a 1050ti can do any gaming on 1080p but not at the highest settings... and like I said the expected life of an i5 right now is very little compared to the i7 and ryzen.

I give it a 6.5/10 because of your sticking with intel/Nvidia to the point of harming your build.  An RX 470/570 will outperform a 1050 ti for about the same price and a 1400 will pretty easily wipe the floor with the 7500, especially when more games use lots of threads.

I'd give this build an 8.5/10.  It is the best you can get for your budget (aside from switching to ssd perhaps)  It also costs less!  And it outperforms the i5 build

I think you are wrong here. I saw many videos of 1050ti playing at ultra and high settings at Full HD settings.

I own a 1050 ti, you are somewhat correct there.  It will play esports games on high-ultra, everything els on mediumish graphics.  1050 ti is your best option

Get a 1400.  The 1050 ti will run those titles decently but most are CPU heavy games that will benefit massively from the extra cores on the 1400.
