CSGO Smokes Being Laggy

The title says most of it. So whenever I stand next to a smoke, my frames drop to 30 which is basically unplayable for a game like csgo because of how fast it is, etc.. but when I'm either in the smoke or not facing the smoke, my fps is normal. Is there a way to fix this? (Please don't tell me to upgrade my PC, that's not an option right now).

I would lower texture quality.

I have all of my settings to the lowest.

Specs:

core 2 quad qq6600

gt 630

and the rest are basically part of a really old prebuilt dell PC.

I know it's not the best but it's capable of running cs.

It's just a part of the game. It happened all the time when I was playing on my laptop. Just try not to look at them

Well, your only option would be upgrading. The settings are already on lowest, and you have pretty crap specs (no offense, your CPU is decent, it's your GPU that sucks).

then how do other people play like that? do they just have a really beefy computer so they won't notice when the frames drop?

You're going to have to live with it. You've got not so powerful specs and smokes kill frame rate on low end pcs

If by beefy you mean half decent. You can make a system comparable to yours for less than $100. Upgrade to a gtx 1050 for $100 and it should be far better.

Exactly, on my current PC nothing dips below 60fps max settings at 1440p. There's nothing you can do except upgrade, but I don't think it's worth it just for CS:GO. I lived with the smoke lag for a while, and it was annoying, but I just delt with it. It didn't result in me dying very often.

Even a 750ti would be enough, and I've seen those as low as $75 brand new.
